Chief Administrative Officer

Caroline Cathcart brings over 25 years of leadership and investment management experience to her role of Chief Administrative Officer at RPIA. Caroline has been instrumental to the success of the Client Experience and Marketing functions of the firm and continues to oversee the areas of client operations, analytics, and reporting. As part of her Chief Administrative Officer mandate, she will oversee the HR and Administrative functions, as well as the project management of strategic initiatives. In addition, Caroline is charged with new product development and has led the creation and launch of five funds at RPIA since 2015.

Prior to joining RPIA in July 2015, Caroline was Vice President, Corporate Development at Dundee Global Investment Management and was part of the executive team focused on building an alternative investment platform. Caroline’s past experience includes the investment management of a number of Alternative Investment funds as well as private wealth management for select high net worth clients, and she was instrumental in the development of a $4 billion wealth management business at a boutique investment firm. Caroline has extensive experience managing investment teams, exempt market products and investment infrastructure and is a recognized leader in the investment management industry.

In 2017, Caroline was nominated for the WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100™ Awards.

Caroline is an active community volunteer, serving on the Executive Committee of 100 Women in Finance (Toronto), as a Board member for Nature United and as a Board Member for the UTS Foundation. Caroline is also a prominent supporter of  UNICEF Canada. She is a past member of UNICEF Canada’s UNdaunted Campaign Cabinet and of The 25th Team, a leadership group of 60 Canadian women which partnered with the Government of Canada to invest $6-million in newborn, child and maternal health around the globe, and is currently a member of Women UNlimited, a circle of Canadian women committed to making a lasting difference for children  by delivering sustainable, scalable and innovative education and nutrition solutions in some of the worlds toughest places.

Caroline holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®), a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Toronto, and is currently taking a Master of Laws at the University of Edinburgh.
